Born Survivor

Some of the older cubs and younger scouts from Ellesmere Port & Neston took part in “Born Survivor” in September at Forest Camp, Sandiway, where they took part in shooting, climbing, archery, blind fold trail, low ropes assault course, raft building (which they took onto the lake), skinning & gutting pheasants (they declined the gutting of the fish – but happily prepared a trout for backwoods cooking – and made short work of the eating of it).  They all had a go on the aerial runway and got happily mucky on the water slide.  We all, also, learned how to make string from stinging nettles too! There were so many different and exciting things to do, it was impossible to do everything!
